Self Improvement Tip of the Week: Thought is the child of action…

One point that us over here at The REI Brain try to get across to you is that ACTION is massive action = successwhat will eventually lead to your success… and lack of action will lead to your failure.

It is no secret that in order to get something done, you need to take certain action steps to get there.

One quote helps to explain it a bit…

“Experience is the child of thought, and thought is the child of action”.

Just like most everything, an evolution must take place to get from point A to point B.

With our lives, we must first be a child, then grow to a teenager, then to a young adult, then to a mature adult.  You can’t get to one stage without first going through a previous stage.

However, we also can’t stay at one stage forever or we will never evolve to the next stage.

It is exactly the same in succeeding and reaching your dreams.

You must go through a sort of evolution to get from the starting point to where you want to go.

Let’s say you are starting at ZERO toward a goal of yours to make $100,000 with real estate investing (or anything else) within 8 months.

Good, you have a goal with specific numbers and a timeline.  Your goal is specific and measureable.  (Remember, all goals should be specific and measureable… or the liklihood of ever reaching them or staying on track reduces dramatically).

So, how do you get from ZERO to the $100,000 in 8 months?

First, you must have some sort of driving force to get you there (i.e. – an experience or set of experiences that push you to achieve your goal).  Are you living from paycheck to paycheck just scraping by?  Do you want to travel but your income doesn’t support it? Did you once get put down because you don’t make enough money to be a part of a specific group of people that you badly want to be a part of?

… What experiences have pushed you to want to achieve that specific goal of making $100,000 in 8 months?

That is the “experience” part of the quote.

You must have some type of experiene that drives you to reach the goal.

An experiene then leads to THOUGHT.

You have a certain experience that drives you to reach a specific set of goals… now the human brain begins to THINK about that goal and how to reach it.

People may buy courses that teach them how to reach the goal… read books… talk to a mentor… dream about it at night… etc.

This is all a natural evolution from ZERO to reaching your goal.

BUT…

It is the thought phase that many people get stuck at.  They constantly think about the goal and how they may get there… but they rarely ever evolve past the THOUGHT phase into the ACTION phase.

People need to understand that THOUGHT is never the end… it’s never the thing that will enable you to reach your goal.

>> THOUGHT MUST EVOLVE INTO ACTION!  <<

Thought is the CHILD OF ACTION… and in order for children to grow… they must evolve into another phase.

All of us get stuck in this trap.

We all get mulled down in the THOUGHT phase and find it difficult to evolve out of that phase and into the action phase.

Just remember the quote at the top of this article:

“Experience is the child of thought, and thought is the child of action”.

In order to reach your goals, you must evolve on this path.  If you don’t constantly evolve… you will become stagnant and NEVER REACH YOUR GOAL.

Thought MUST evolve into ACTION… or you are wasting your time even thinking about that goal.

I wish there was some standard set of steps that ALL people can take that will immediately allow them to take action.  However… there simply isn’t… and it is up to YOU to find out what works for you.

Either way… YOU NEED TO TAKE MASSIVE ACTION or your dream life will NEVER come to fruition.
