As you know, The REI Brain dot Com is mainly geared toward private real estate investors and those who wish to become successful investors.  If you’re reading this you probably fit into that category.

But…

Also in that group is a huge percentage of real estate agents (brokers, Realtors, etc… whatever you want to say)… and many real estate agents are going through the toughest period in their careers as we speak… is that you?

Just last week I got an email from a real estate agent in Washington state that really showed how frustrating it can be right now to sell real estate in some markets… here’s a part of it:

"Hey Trevor,

First off, I want to thank you for the great info you put out.  You seem like you’re really looking out for the rest of us rather than trying to make a quick buck off of unsuspecting "investor wannabes".

The reason I’m writing is because I’m frustrated right now and am about ready to give up being a realtor.  I realize you’re not a realtor so I may be talking to the wrong person, but you do seem to know a thing or two about selling real estate and marketing.

My question is, how can I sell my properties faster and actually pay my bills as a realtor again?  My income has been cut in half in 2008 versus my income in 2006.  I know there’s realtors out there still making great money… I guess I just need a bit of guidance that anyone could follow in todays market.

It’s no secret… just as Sherri says… it’s tough to be a real estate agent in today’s market .

• Homes are staying on the market longer
• There are less qualified buyers out there today
• Home prices are lower (in most markets)

But, I personally know several real estate agents who are doing as well in todays market as they were several years ago… and it’s not that they are smarter… cooler… or have magical powers.  It’s because they know how to market their properties and themselves very well… and stand out above the other "mediocre" agents in the world.

Here’s A Resource I Suggest For Real Estate Agents In Today’s Market

When I went back to Orlando in February for a business marketing conference I met a ton of cool (and successful) people that I still keep in close contact with.

Anyhow, one of the guys is a great marketer (excellent marketer) and he knew I was into real estate… and pointed me on to one of his close friends who is a real estate agent rocking it in today’s market .  This guy’s name is Justin Zimmerman … and he’s one of the most well connected guys I know in the "top tier real estate agent" area.

The past Cheif Economist of the NAR , top selling realtors across the country, etc. are all in his rolodex.

Long story short… I got a hold of Justin last week to chat real estate w/ him and he let me know about a

cool new training program for real estate agents that he just finished putting together that essentially is something like 40 full interviews with the top real estate experts around the country.  He’s calling it "Good Morning Real Estate: Breaking Grounds Live ".

So, without rambling on more in this post… if you’re a Realtor, agent, broker… whatever… if you sell real estate… I seriously 100% vouch for the Breaking Grounds program Justin put together.

The best thing is… Justin set up a nice little 14 day trial for just $1 (yes, one dollar) where you can check out the training (put the stuff to use)… and if it’s not for you… that’s all you pay.  If you love it… it’s a rediculously cheap way to retrain yourself and start to squeeze a bunch more sales commissions out of todays market.

The whole thing is over the internet so you won’t have this bulky package come to your door that does nothing but sit on your shelf.  Great stuff.

Remember, if you can learn to dominate in a market like todays as a real estate broker… imagine how it’ll be once the market picks back up… could be amazing.
