Some of the Resources Mentioned On The Workshop:
- Video Distribution Services:
- Tubemogul.com - Free service, works great but only distributes to about 15 sites
- TrafficGeyser.com - Paid service, distributes to more than 40 video sharing sites, social bookmarks the videos, etc (a ton of features), and is a bit more automated than Tubemogul.com.
- Social Bookmarketing Sites:
- Outsourcing Sites:
- Elance.com - Kind of like ebay but for posting projects you want done. People bid on your projects.
- Guru.com - Similar to Elance.com, but just another source to find great people to get the job done. Keep in mind, this is just like hiring people any other time... do your research to make sure you find someone who is trustworth with a good record.
- Website Software:
- Wordpress - Great free software that I use on all of my sites. There are thousands of free templates you can use... this software is very SEO friendly and customizeable. You can get an entire site designed using this for a couple hundred bucks (way cheaper than the guru sites!). If this is the route you want to go, shoot me an email and I can help you get it going.
- Investorpro - Some decent looking REI sites... I've never used them... but worth a look so you can see what's out there. I'm not saying I recommend them... just showing you what some sites have on them.
- Website Hosting and Domains:
- Hostgator - I personally use Hostgator for my web hosting. I went through about 8 other hosts before I found Hostgator and I really love their service and have never had a problem with them. Here's a link to get 20% off the first month.
- Godaddy - Where I get all of my domain names. They're pretty darn cheap, and make it easy. I don't like their hosting... so don't use their "free" hosting... it's pretty crappy... but it's the best place to get cheap domains.
